Description
Thirteen-year-old Conor is plagued by nightmares. And how could he not be - his mom is seriously ill, his dad lives somewhere across the ocean in America, his grandmother is constantly scolding him, and his classmates bully him. It seems like he is all alone. Well, almost alone. At night, always a little after midnight, he is visited by a monster - a gigantic walking and talking old tree that grows on the hill behind his house. Gradually, the monster tells Conor three ancient stories and teaches him that things are often not what they seem.
