Description
This expansion for the Podhoubí board game allows up to five players and adds new mechanisms that deepen the strategy of the base game. It contains 35 new mushroom cards endemic to North America. Inspired by the symbiotic relationship between trees and fungi in nature, the expansion introduces young saplings and ancient trees. As part of the SPORULATION action, players may place one of their spores on a sapling in exchange for a chance to gain a symbiosis bonus. Once three spores have been placed on a sapling, the new AGING action can transform it into an ancient tree. These trees are worth 5 points and can be used tactically to move spores into new areas. The game is for 2–5 players and lasts approximately 90 minutes. The contents include mushroom cards, ancient tree and sapling pieces, a mother mushroom, fruiting body figures, spore cubes, player boards, spore markers, insect tokens, player aids and Czech rules.
