Description
With a smile, lightness, and sincerity, the memories of growing up in communist Czechoslovakia in the 1950s are described. The author observes the absurd world around her with the wide-eyed wonder of a child. With touching immediacy, she comments not only on the social and political situation of the time but also on the no less complicated family relationships and reflects on the actions of her closest ones. She does not judge, she merely states. An insightful and humorous audiobook for anyone who did not experience that era, brilliantly interpreted by Bára Munzarová. The last debut was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Writers' Guild in the poll for the Miroslav Švandrlík Award for the funniest book of 2023. ***** Total time: 5 hours 27 minutes.
