Description
The half-orphan Ulrika, her alcoholic father, and his mistress become hostages of a German group led by the fanatical nun Salome, who is seeking shelter and food for a time. The solitude of Berhof witnesses a psychological struggle for survival. The famous novel by Vladimír Körner from 1973 deals with the theme of Wervolves, German Nazi fanatics who, despite the end of World War II, carried out border punitive expeditions with the intent to murder, steal, and reverse the fall of the fascist regime. In 1983, director Jiří Svoboda made a film adaptation starring Jana Brejchová. Total running time 5 hours 14 minutes.
