Description
"Dear fellow citizens! You have gathered here to hear an explanation of the political situation. Since no one is willing to explain these events to you, let me briefly state what it's about: we are in deep trouble for the second time and up to our ears in it." It was February 25, 1948, and revolution burst into the peaceful Czech town. Overnight, the greatest illiterates, scoundrels, and local riffraff became the social elite, gaining power over the fates and lives of others. The humorous and ironic novel by Jaroslav Žák (School, the Foundation of Life; Journey into the Depths of a Student's Soul...) was published for the first time in 1991, more than 30 years after the author's death. Read by Miroslav Táborský. Music by Raven. Directed by Roman Štolpa. Total time: 10 hours 35 minutes.
