Věra (Zlata Adamovská) has lived a wonderful life with Jindřich and is firmly determined to fulfill his last wish – to run a marathon! An emancipated and decisive mother of three daughters sees no problem in this. She simply divides the route into four parts, and they will tackle the more than 42 kilometers as a family relay. None of them has run even a meter yet, but there are still three months until the start, and coach Vojta (Vladimír Polívka) has prepared a great fitness plan. They just need to start. However, the daughters are not eager to run. They have completely different worries. The oldest, Marcela (Tereza Kostková), faces daily troubles from her three sons, and their father Karel (Ondřej Vetchý) has not been able or willing to propose to her for twenty years. The middle daughter, Bára (Veronika Khek Kubařová), longs for a child, but she has not yet found the right father for it. Her biological clock is ticking. And the youngest, Kačka (Jenovéfa Boková), does have a guy, but he has one major catch – a wife. Despite being in love, Kačka clings to a relationship without a future. It is clear that the daughters currently have completely different priorities than running training. The quirky mom Věra must therefore muster all her strength to bring the family relay through a series of obstacles and comedic complications to the start...
