Description
The film trilogy Gardening consists of three separate films set against the backdrop of the most dramatic periods of the last century and takes place before the beloved film Pelíšky (1999). It tells the story of three families: the family of an aviation radio telegrapher, the family of a hair salon owner, and the family of a gardening business owner. It spans 20 years of the characters' lives, who had to experience the best years of their lives during these tumultuous times. The Suitor takes place in the late 1950s and tells of family relationships marked by war and the communist coup. With tragicomic detachment, it depicts the generational clash between the pre-war and post-war generations. The Suitor is a romantic comedy about parents' ideas of what their children's happiness should look like.
