The red teddy bear Teri Bear, known as Teribear, has found a home with Tom, but must spend several days without him for the first time. Before Tom leaves for camp, he asks Teri to discover who is trampling the peas, nibbling the vegetables and, worst of all, stealing the strawberries they can no longer enjoy with whipped cream. Teri becomes a detective, questioning witnesses, collecting evidence and trying to identify the culprit. Soon the little bungler has gathered more suspects than there are garden beds at the crime scene, but still has no real lead. Fortunately, his squirrel friends know that several heads are better than one, and courage comes in handy, even when the investigation involves a nocturnal flight on an eagle owl’s wings and a struggle with floodwater. During his adventures, Teri learns a great deal about nature and how to recognize a very tall tale. He sets a trap, proving that it is useful to keep your wits about you, even when your ears are made of plush. This Czech-language audiobook also highlights the importance of thinking of others and supporting children without parental care.
