Description
As New Year’s Eve 1932 approaches, Hercule Poirot arrives on the picturesque Greek island of Lamperos to welcome the new year. Inspector Catchpool, who loves swimming in the sea, naturally accompanies his friend. They stay at the House of Perpetual Hospitality in Liakada Bay, where everyone is welcome regardless of their past. Forgiveness—lasting and unconditional—is one of the principles of the religious movement led by Nashe Athanasiou. The festive evening takes an unexpected turn when, during a game involving New Year’s resolutions, an anonymous murder announcement is made. The intended victim is “Défteri Foní”, the community’s second voice, the likeable Matthew Fair. Should the announcement be taken seriously? The man marked for death believes there is no real threat. Someone is only joking, and he has always enjoyed a laugh. But perhaps he will gladly be a murder victim too. Really? This new seasonal mystery featuring the brilliant detective asks which member of the closed circle of suspects committed the unforgivable crime. The audiobook is in Czech.
