Description
This Czech-language audiobook presents Agatha Christie's mystery in which Cora Lansquenet, at her brother Richard's funeral reception at the family estate Enderby Hall, unexpectedly declares that he was murdered. The Abernethie family and lawyer Mr Entwhistle, Richard's friend and executor of his will, believe that the eldest family member died prematurely but naturally. The following day, however, Cora becomes the victim of a brutal murder. Could there have been truth in what she said? If so, Richard's relatives are the only ones with a motive: each stands to gain from the considerable inheritance, and none has a convincing alibi for the time of Cora's murder. Mr Entwhistle therefore asks the brilliant private detective Hercule Poirot for help. The novel was first adapted for the film Murder at the Gallop (1963), in which Miss Marple replaced Poirot. The story is also known from the television series starring David Suchet under the Czech title Family Estate (2005).
