Description
This Czech-language audiobook tells the tragicomic story of three generations of women and their complicated life together. Božidara leads a perhaps unusual but peaceful life until her nearly adult granddaughter Rosie appears at her cottage door, asking for refuge for an indefinite period. Neither of them knows how radically their everyday existence is about to change. Božidara must adjust to having another person disrupt her many years of solitude, while Rosie tries to escape the constraints imposed by her mother Milada, who insists on an excessively perfect life in which every second is planned in advance. After a leisurely summer together, two crucial questions arise. Will Rosie return to grammar school to complete her final year? And where does her grandmother disappear to for half of every autumn, without anyone in the family knowing? Although mothers try to be the best they can, that does not always lead to an idyll.
