One for all. And all for water in the public interest. Every drop of water will eventually end the sweet summers of girlhood idleness, and Ája will realize this as she becomes school-age. In the small classroom of Miss Teacher Vlnka, as a fresh first-grader, she has her work cut out for her to master the subjects: both the physical education for better fitness and the basics of transforming into other states of matter, or even hydrology. Although knowledge sometimes comes to her as slowly as a crab from the stream, no one learned from heaven, nor did they fall into the Heavenly Pond. This pond is indeed very special! If only Ája weren't constantly bothered by the older classmate Dája, who is unbearably conceited. Fortunately, the mischievous cycle of water will dissolve their quarrels when both schoolgirls are swept through the water treatment plant, the water reservoir, the pipes, and even the sewage system and treatment plant. This poetic fairy tale by the most-read contemporary Czech prose writer reminds us that we differ from one another – that's also why a radiant rainbow arches above us.
