Description
Sometimes a change of air can be refreshing, but it matters who you breathe it with. After Marie’s planned wedding to Max is put at risk and her eccentric mother Vivien is overcome with grief over the tragedy of Lady Di, the young aristocrat from Kostka decides, despite her father’s explicit ban, to confirm the family’s attendance at the opening of their exhibition, Bordel v kuchyni. The lord of the castle has no intention of going anywhere himself, as he is not particularly excited by the Dutch queen’s personal thanks for returning Rembrandt’s Portrait of a Maidservant, stolen from the Dutch by the Nazis. Only a brave party consisting of Marie, her mother and “some Tichá,” as the resourceful curator introduces herself to the family, therefore sets off for The Hague. Can the three women preserve the family’s honour in front of the cream of true aristocracy, or even impress Her Majesty Beatrix? The fifth part of the successful humorous series about the troubles of the last aristocrat is narrated in Czech by Veronika Khek Kubařová.
