Description
Soror is Latin for "sister." But will everything on this sister planet be as we are "civilized" used to? The expedition of Earthlings to the inhabited satellite in the Orion constellation, described in the notes of French journalist Ulyxe Méroux placed in a bottle floating through space, initially appears to be a rest in paradise. However, in the jungle of planet Soror, the idyll quickly turns into a massacre when the expedition, along with the local mute savages resembling humans, is attacked by a troop of monkeys. The narrator is astonished to find that these primates on Soror have built an advanced civilization, while the humanoids have stagnated at the level of animals. But by then, he himself becomes the subject of laboratory interest for the monkey researchers... His odyssey, where the romance of travelogues collides with satirical anti-utopia and cruel critiques of science abusing living "material" for experiments, is heading towards a resolution that will shake even the hardened fans of fantasy.
