Description
Two little boys on opposite sides of a big fence. Nine-year-old Bruno is reluctant to leave his old, good little room, school, and friends in Berlin to move to a new, lonely, and gloomy house in a mysterious place they call Oušice. However, Fíra, Bruno's father's boss, has decided so, and children have no say in such matters. But who will Bruno play with here? From the window, he can only see a tall fence and occasionally strange people who all wear pajamas - even during the day! Then one day he meets the same-aged Shmuel... In 2008, a film adaptation was also made with Asa Butterfield (who also played the lead roles in Ender's Game and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children), David Thewlis, and Vera Farmiga in the main roles.
