Description
"Good morning, Mr. Heyerdahl, you must be expecting me, my name is Eduard Ingriš." To prove his theory that the original inhabitants of the Pacific may be descendants of South American civilizations, sailor and adventurer Thor Heyerdahl built a raft and set out to sea. He faced the whole world and the wild Pacific. Following his example, in the 1950s, Eduard Ingriš, a highly successful Czech conductor and composer, tramp, and sailor, later an acclaimed filmmaker, undertook two adventurous expeditions. He shook hands with presidents, befriended Hollywood celebrities, his music was nominated for an Oscar, he was an advisor to Ernest Hemingway, and a friend of Thor Heyerdahl. And in his home country, hardly anyone knows him. Based on the fate of Eduard Ingriš, the documentary film Ingriš! Eduard Ingriš (Petr Horký, 2006) was also created. Cast: Vasil Fridrich, Miloň Čepelka, Pavel Soukup, recording length: 4 hours 31 minutes
