This is just between people and hockey. For most people, winning the junior ice hockey championship doesn't mean much, but for the residents of Medvědín, it means everything. A victory could draw attention to the declining town: attract state subsidies and talented athletes who would choose their community over larger cities in the region... Hockey is the life of Peter Andersson, a former player and the sports director of the local club; it is what seventeen-year-old Kevin, a hockey genius and the hope of the entire town, breathes for, as well as the fighting Benji, who is afraid to admit his sexual orientation. Even the talented outsider Amat cannot imagine his life without skates on his feet. The entire Medvědín places its hopes for victory alongside them. However, Peter's daughter Maya is more interested in playing the guitar and also in Kevin than in hockey. She can't resist and accepts an invitation to a celebration, after which the whole town begins to ask a completely different question than whether their hockey team will win or lose.
