Description
Consciousness, bound to the networks of the Manifest, is brought to the surface, dragged in the captivity of illusions. When the Össian Ship emerges from R-A space dead, it is a reason for mourning ceremonies for the Össians – and a drama for the Earthlings. The surviving crew members of the disaster are to be sacrificed. Lucas Hildebrandt ignores attempts to save them. He does not feel like a hero: he is just a shadow of his former self, stripped of will, dependent on Össian drugs. And yet he can perceive essential things. He senses that the death of the Ship is a harbinger of more significant changes, to which the Earthlings are blind. The threat described in the ancient Össian Books is here.
