Bílá lvice - 2 CDmp3 (Čte Jiří Vyorálek)

The drastic echoes of the seething unrest in Africa during the 1990s will also be felt by the residents of the cold north. Commissioner Wallander investigates the disappearance of real estate agent Louisa Akerblom without finding any explanation or motive. The policeman suspects that the exemplary wife and mother is likely no longer alive. However, he cannot know that her murder is connected to political events and a planned assassination attempt on Nelson Mandela in the Republic of South Africa. The third case of the existentially pondering detective, as portrayed by Jiří Vyorálek, once again touches on the social context of the time - this time the South African apartheid or the relocation of former KGB members after the collapse of the Soviet Union into the ranks of the mafia or the services of new "employers." The grand espionage plot is transferred by Mankell from the hot continent to the small area of southern Sweden, where the conspirators seemingly commit brutal violence in passing. Narrator: Jiří Vyorálek, duration of recording: 13 hours 55 minutes.
