When the rare artifact is stolen one frosty night, the suspects include church officials, Norwegian nationalists, and even Sámi separatists. The situation is further complicated by the gruesome murder of a reindeer herder. Klemet and Nina are convinced that both cases are connected, but they must first understand how the tragic events of the distant past, narrated by traditional throat-singing songs called joiks, reflect in the current crimes. Additionally, a corrupt colleague throws obstacles in their path, and a French geologist with a weakness for very young girls and nefarious intentions also ventures into the nearby regions. The individual parts are narrated by three seasoned audiobook interpreters: Igor Bareš, Jana Stryková, and Pavel Rímský.
