Description
The book, narrated by Tomáš Hanák and Zdeněk Lahoda, is the result of four years of journalistic work, during which Ľubomír Smatana, as a permanent correspondent for Czech Radio, demonstrated his exceptional ability to connect objective facts and everyday news with personal experiences of a 'man on the ground' and with captivating stories of people from the most remote corners of Slovakia. Although the author is himself a Slovak native, he does not spare irony and humor. He writes candidly about sensitive topics such as Slovak-Hungarian relations, the picturesque political scene, or ethnic prejudices. At the same time, he depicts the unique charm of a country that Czechs have always had a special relationship with and that is worth rediscovering.
