Description
The discovery of Cimrman's play Czech Heaven confirmed that the trace of the genius author does not end in 1914. The drama captures the time when the First World War broke out on earth. We observe it from the sky, where the long-dead giants of Czech history worry about the fate of their people. The Czech Heavenly Commission, consisting of Saint Wenceslas, the forefather Czech, and J. A. Comenius, expands with new members in a crisis situation to inspire the nation with the idea of an independent state. The play is suitable for celebrations on October 28, but it can also be performed at other times.
