Happy Hour - CD

Two years after the release of the album Kiks, Vlastimil Třešňák wrote twelve new songs for the album Happy Hour. With the exclamation Flag Up!, the slightly shabby theater director kicks off a performance full of disguises and surreal tricks. The attentive listener may be surprised by the chanson-like tone of several songs, but that is one of the roles as well. After all, which of our songwriters can afford to play as a regional actor The One Who Never Jumps, a chanson singer from Europe, or a century-old countess? A blackmailer and the blackmailed, a lamplighter, Sigmund Freud, Master Hanuš, or write a completely new Kafkaesque tale about escaping from paperwork? In the final song, he is already begging for a more substantial role from Thalia, but the Daughter of Zeus is not ready for that yet... All of this is accompanied by the spirited music of the Temporary Quintet and guests. The songs were created from the beginning in collaboration with the author, Josef Štěpánek, and Jan Steinsdörfer, who were joined in the studio by bassist Martin Lehký, drummer Miloš Dvořáček, and saxophonist Jan Štolba. The album was recorded at Soundevice studio by Adam Pakosta. The Happy Hour album was also released on vinyl in a limited edition of 300 numbered copies and offers an unforgettable musical experience with a familiar characteristic sound.
