Description
The album Potichoučku offers fourteen swing pieces in the refined interpretation of Dája Šimíčková and Shadde Yadda, a group that performs early swing music from the 1920s to the 1940s. The band members have passed through numerous top ensembles, where they also met together in several of them (the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, Ondřej Havelka's Melody Makers, the Havelková Sisters Orchestra, Prime Time Voice, etc.). In addition to the current core players - David Fárek, Jiří Kovář, and Jaroslav Šimíček - the album features guests from among musical friends and colleagues: singers Ondřej Havelka, Přemysl Rut, Martin Zbrožek, Prime Time Voice, and musicians Petr Tichý, Jan Štolba, and many others. The common denominator of the various songs on the album is the poetry of everyday life and ordinary things, permeated by impressive, often exceptionally successful lyrics by selected Czech authors.
