Description
The album "Napodobování písma" features Jan Běťák, a violinist and singer of the band Bezobratři (winner of the Anděl award in 2010 and nominated in 2014), in a different – solo – role. The album contains fourteen new original songs (one text contributed by the author's father), emerging from inner inspirations and needs. The album's producer, Broněk Šmid, successfully chose to capture them in their original authorial form, where additional musical guests gradually join in some recordings: singer Beata Bocek, Jaroslav Svoboda on harmonium, trumpeter Jan Přibil, bassists Tomáš Spiřík and Jaroslav Mareček, pianist Andrej Hrubčo, accordionist Žaneta Vítová, drummer Tomáš Zelený, percussionist Vojtěch Šmid, Petr Fučík with electronics, and Ladislav Šiška on handpan. The album was recorded in Broněk Šmid's studio, and the cover with illustrations by Barbora Heřmanová was designed by Kateřina Zemanová.
