Kanálem snů - CD

The new album by singer-songwriter Vladimír Mikulka captures the current repertoire of his band Inženýr Vladimír in a "rockband" form, complemented on the music scene by mutations like "caféband" or "solo", each time with a modified repertoire, different instrumental arrangements, and, of course, a distinct sound. The album Kanálem snů was created in the home studio Slavíky and contains nine new tracks that are intentionally a bit deceptive: most songs appear cheerful and popishly playful, but a closer listen reveals that they may deal with themes that aren't so cheerful after all. Just like the not particularly charming girl from the final track Je tak krásná - despite the fact that her beauty is persistently and fervently sung about in joyful tones in the choruses.
