Description

Martin Brunner is a sought-after flutist, having played with significant groups such as Jazz Fragment, Znamení dechu, or the Prague Big Band, and especially Kontraband, but he also played in the rock band Spektrum. He is a sought-after specialist for openings and has performed at the inaugurations of exhibitions by leading Czech artists (Vladimír Renčín and Suchánek, Ivan Ouhel, Aleš Lamr, Jiří Slíva, Pavel Roučka, and others). His improvised solo performances allowed him to experiment with new themes and melodies, where Martin Brunner tries to paint sounds like graphics or paintings. The resulting pure music for the moment usually resonates and then fades away. However, the miniatures created from improvisations eventually became the foundation for this album, and the author himself no longer remembers which images inspired each improvisation. "The improvising world of musical images of jazz music is," as Vladimír Kouřil writes on the album cover: "equally unique and infinite, like the world of realistic and abstract images of painters and graphic artists." CONTENT: Fluttering * Rush * Swirling * Feeling (Quiet Experiences) * Rustles, noises, shadows, touches I * Nicole? / Nicole! * ... and she left (Quiet Experiences) * Old Apple Tree (Potštejn) * Jump on! * Finally in the air * Double Emotion * Confrontation * Second Courtyard (Potštejn)…
