Description

One of the symbols of the Velvet Revolution became singer-songwriter Jaroslav Hutka when he played at home for the first time after a decade of exile, and immediately for nearly a million listeners on the frozen Letná Plain... For many participants in this November demonstration of 1989, it was a true confirmation of the end of one-party rule. Hutka and other singer-songwriters were in high demand; everyone wanted to see and hear them. However, soon many people preferred other interests and a seemingly unaware comfort. This does not mean that the biting, uncompromising, and traditionally irreconcilable commentators of the time among the singer-songwriters fell silent. They may have left the stadiums, but they returned to clubs, they are still here, performing and continuing their work. To mark the 30th anniversary of the November events of 1989, a selection of songs from the Velvet Revolution is now being released, featuring the most popular songs from Hutka's repertoire at that time. CONTENT: Sunflower * Pile of Trash * Whale and Zero * Little Jesus * So My Dear * Probable Distances * Litvínov * Social Ballad * Warm-up * Four Elephants * Stoves * The Soul Argued with the Body * Hallelujah, Trams * Havlíček, Havel * Moravia * Tango about Prague * Foreigners * Náměšť. Length of recording: 1 hour 15 minutes.
