The album Kyčera, Kyčera offers a collection of outstanding recordings by our most famous folk singer Jarmila Šuláková with the Brno Radio Orchestra of Folk Instruments. The original LP is supplemented with a number of additional songs, mostly recorded in the 1960s. Jarmila Šuláková, accompanied by top instrumentalists, sings songs from Valašsko, Slovácko, Lašsko, and Slovakia, her youthful voice shining in both fast, energetic tunes and deeply felt, melancholic ballads. Jarmila Šuláková has had a truly long artistic career. She has performed all over the world, released records with BROLN in Western Europe and the USA. She has received great affection from listeners, both official titles (national artist) and unofficial ones (the mother queen of Valašsko). At the age of 65, she managed to energetically start a new phase of her career with the rock band Fleret, performing continuously until she was 82. However, the peak recordings of Jarmila Šuláková with BROLN have until now been practically unavailable. The compact disc Kyčera, Kyčera contains a total of 38 tracks, some of which have only been published on singles or are now being released for the very first time.
