Workbook – Music Education for Kindergartens and 1st Grade Elementary Schools is a supplementary material to the previous workbooks for kindergartens, aimed at a smooth transition to education and upbringing at the first level of elementary school. The content of the workbook includes fifteen folk songs from Bohemia and Moravia. Each song is presented over two pages. There is always a musical notation for accompaniment on a musical instrument and a part of a fairy tale musical staff. Children can visually demonstrate how the melody of the song rises or falls. The opposite page then provides an opportunity for further work with the song's text (using proven methods from previous workbooks) – understanding, memory development, logic, visual and auditory perception, left-right and spatial orientation, and fine motor skills. Some tasks aim to introduce children to the basics of music theory and musical instruments. The goal was to develop a positive relationship with music in children in a fun and educational way. The tasks encourage children to actively perceive the world of music. Each page is introduced with a motivational rhyme to support rhythm.
