Description
Dramatized reading of a crime thriller based on a true event. The inhabitants of a remote courtyard are found beaten to death. They were said to be oddballs, cunning farmers, and misers. And now the entire family has been wiped out in a single night, almost hacked to pieces with a pickaxe. The reader becomes a witness to a crime based on a real case and accompanies every step of the murderer without knowing their identity. The individual villagers tell their stories, each with their own version of events. The tension escalates as we follow the perpetrator's every move without knowing who they are... The subject of the book 'Jedlová samota' is a true event that took place in Bavaria after the world war. The perpetrator was never convicted. The details are revealed by the residents of the mountain village during police interrogations. The main narrator is an unknown observer (a sort of God's eye or the murderer's alter ego). The author of 'Jedlová samota', Andrea Maria Schenkel, has inserted the murderer into her literary story. She chose one of the main suspects from the investigation of the real event. Thus, she leaned towards one of the most plausible versions. 'Jedlová samota' has been awarded several literary prizes, including the German Prize for Detective Fiction and the Swedish Martin Prize...
