Description

The case of the Plzeň murders is the introductory story of the book series Chronicles of the Royal Chamber. It takes place in the mid-16th century and tells how the royal scribe Jiří Adam z Dobronína encountered his assistant, bachelor Petr Korc, while investigating several mysterious murders in Plzeň. Thanks to his help, he manages to escape unharmed and also uncovers intrigues against the king. The plot is set in the attractive environment of a Renaissance city with a grand town hall in the square and winding streets, where wealthy burghers live alongside poor craftsmen, apprentices, innkeepers, and ragmen. An important place in the story also belongs to the peculiar character of a strange hermit and a romantic love. And as it cannot be otherwise in the novels of Vlastimil Vondruška, the resolution is truly surprising. Characters and cast: royal scribe Jiří Adam z Dobronína: Jaromír Meduna, bachelor Petr: Jan Meduna, narrator: Lukáš Hlavica, burgher master Bárta: Otakar Brousek, Rozárka: Magdaléna Borová, mayor Korec: Miloš Hlavica, supporting male roles: Václav Vydra and Petr Lněnička, supporting female roles: Zdeňka Sajfertová. 1 CD in MP3 format, total duration: 126 minutes.
