Fantóm opery (audiokniha)

The story of a love triangle set in the environment of the Paris Opera – a tale with a detective suspenseful yet romantic plot – depicts the fates of the talented singer Christine Daaé and her friend, the viscount Raoul de Chagny, and especially the mysterious Phantom of the Opera, a walking specter of death and misfortune, the invisible "Angel of Music." Within him gradually unfolds the tragic fate of a man unhappy due to his ugliness and longing for simple human love. The Phantom is both evil and tender, a cruel magician, a lover of trapdoors and secret doors, a ventriloquist, an excellent musician, and a globetrotter with a colorful past. Gaston Leroux's romantic horror, The Phantom of the Opera, published in 1910, is now primarily known thanks to the musical adaptation by Andrew Lloyd Webber, which premiered in London in 1986 and is now successfully performed here as well. The main roles in the dramatization of the famous novel are played by Miroslav Moravec, Veronika Jeníková, Viktor Preiss, Jiří Adamíra, Petr Haničinec, Petr Štěpánek, Věra Galatíková, Josef Bek, and others, with a total running time of 150 minutes.
