Based on the literary work of the well-known humorist Miroslav Švandrlík, a cycle of twelve television stories with a horror flavor was created, clearly demonstrating that even in the Czech Republic, things can happen that leave ordinary human reason perplexed. The first six comedically inclined tales, for example, reveal what lies behind an innocent expedition into the Romanian mountains and who actually lies in the coffin managed by a senile gravedigger. In these impressive stories built on humorous exaggeration, a plethora of outstanding Czech actors are featured, led by Miroslav Donutil, Viktor Preiss, Boris Rösner, Oldřich Navrátil, Jiří Lábus, Květ Fialová, Naďa Konvalinková, and others.
