He was a German fighter pilot and the most successful ace of World War I. He commanded the unit JG.1 (the first fighter squadron) and is credited with 80 aerial victories. The aircraft on the cover of our building set became the most famous plane of World War I thanks to the Red Baron; it was the German single-seat triplane fighter Fokker Dr.I.
