Miroslav Donutil reads fourteen stories by Ota Pavel in this Czech-language audiobook, selecting seven fishing stories and seven sports stories that he knows intimately and often returns to as a reader. The fishing section includes Koncert, Moje první ryba, Souboj o štiky, Jak jsme s tatínkem servírovali úhořům, Smrt krásných srnců, Veliký vodní tulák and Zlatí úhoři, including stories also known from their film adaptations. A song titled Zlatí úhoři, sung by Donutil himself, is an added bonus. The second half contains seven stories from the world of sport, in which Pavel captures memorable moments in Czechoslovak sporting history that he witnessed personally as a reporter: Jak to tenkrát běžel Zátopek, ÚDA – Dukla, Brankář, Omyl, Sedm deka zlata, Salto nazad and Plná bedna šampaňského. Donutil approaches these stories differently from the calm fishing narratives, using a dynamic, sometimes almost reportage-like reading style.
