Prague Spring Festival Vol. 1 Blue Edition - CD

Contemporary music is a significant part of the dramaturgy of the Prague Spring. The festival cares for this area not only by regularly including contemporary works in its program but also by presenting the latest pieces in top interpretative quality performed by outstanding foreign ensembles and soloists specializing in contemporary music. This connects the festival to global developments in the field and simultaneously makes it an international platform for Czech performers as well. An indispensable part of these activities is also the support of domestic creation through creative commissions. The Prague Spring festival has long played an important role here, focusing in recent years particularly on composers of the younger and middle generations. In many cases, this creates an opportunity to bring together famous foreign ensembles with Czech creators, which is always a mutually enriching experience and for Czech composers, additionally a chance to gain foreign artistic contacts.
