The story of a senior dog, his unbearable owner, and a tolerant owner. Petra Baďurová (1964) was for twelve years the true owner of a real dog named Egon. She is the one whom Egon calls panda, somewhat is and somewhat isn't. She is an opponent of anthropomorphizing dogs and in her book, with exaggeration, humor, and understanding, she has drawn on half a century of her experiences not only with dogs but also with their owners. Dogs have accompanied her since childhood. They are her hobby. She sought them out, owned them, watched over them, and trained them for many friends. Eventually, she created a successful Facebook profile "Egon – from my diary." It grew day by day with photos, stories, and memories of the old and already ailing German shepherd until one night Egon went to dog heaven... His owner sat down at the computer in the early morning hours, filled with emotion, and promised the fans who loved Egon's unique "dog" storytelling style that she would publish his story in book form.
