Description
When a concert was held in the autumn of 2016 to celebrate the 75th birthday of composer Ivana Loudová, few could have guessed that the collaboration of the participating performers, violinist Anna Veverková and cellist Štěpán Filípek, would develop into a long-lasting ensemble. Together with pianist Martin Levický, they later formed a piano trio named Solaris3. In 2018-2019, the ensemble participated in a long-term artistic project titled 3 Premieres for Solaris3, during which several new compositions for piano trio were created. The ensemble's profile disc intertwines both mentioned moments. It features Ivana Loudová's Trio in B, intended as a tribute to the kindred composer, along with three contemporary artistic statements from young Czech composers, František Chaloupka (Piano Trio No. 1 'Solaris'), Lukáš Sommer (Xcape for piano trio), and Jakub Rataj (ES.23).
