Description
Reading from one of the most significant world novels of the 20th century. Mika Waltari (1908-1979) completed and published the novel The Egyptian Sinuhe in 1945, and although it describes the life of an Egyptian physician during the time of the greatest pharaohs, it primarily speaks of the war traumas of his contemporaries. Sinuhe finds himself among the highest rulers of his time without much effort and influences the fate of the entire state, even though he cannot influence his own life and that of his loved ones. His life is not happy, as he does not realize moments of happiness until dark fate intervenes. Přemysl Hnilička Radio recording from 1983.
