Drákula vs. Van Helsing

Many years after his confrontation with Van Helsing, Dracula has returned to the English town of Whitby. The inhabitants call on the vampire hunter Professor Van Helsing for help. Can Van Helsing defeat Dracula before he turns all the townspeople into vampires? In this two-player game, each player controls one of the two titular characters. Van Helsing must remove all of Dracula’s health points to win, while Dracula wins if he is the first to turn all four inhabitants of one district into vampires. The game lasts a maximum of five rounds. In each round, players take turns, with Dracula going first: they draw a card, then discard it or exchange it for one of the five cards on their card holder in order to activate the discarded card’s ability. There are eight types of cards, each with its own effect. Instead of drawing and discarding a card, a player may declare the end of the round, provided that there are at least six cards in the discard pile. After the opponent takes their final turn, the round ends; otherwise, it ends when the deck is empty. At the end of the round, the players compare the five cards on their holders. Each card corresponds to one of the five areas on the game board. If Dracula has the higher-value card, one person in that area becomes a vampire; if Van Helsing has the higher value, Dracula loses one health point. The game ends immediately when one of the victory conditions is met.
