Professor Snape always made sure that Potions classes were a torment for non-Slytherin students; on the other hand, almost everyone enjoys Charms classes with the wacky Professor Flitwick. However, when the fight against evil begins, it will show that both have their place in the heroes' arsenal! Potions and Spells are expansions for the popular cooperative game Battle of Hogwarts, giving players new ways to fight against evil – and also introducing new situations that can really challenge our heroes. Fans of both the book and film series will surely appreciate the new heroine Ginny Weasley, which also allows Battle of Hogwarts to be played with up to five players. Four packs will introduce new, more challenging situations, but there's no need to worry about going in unprepared: each player will be able to choose a spell that is stronger the less health the hero has. Additionally, by completing small tasks, players earn ingredients for brewing potions and can enhance their deck with new cards that have basic and stronger effects, accessible only when the player discards that card from the game. Spells and Potions beautifully expand the magical world of Harry Potter and are a great addition for those who want a slightly (but not terrifyingly) more complex experience.
