Games that are faithful to their source material and provide not only good entertainment but also an epic experience. The card version of the legendary War of the Ring belongs, of course, to the second type. Prepare for a journey into Middle-earth, either alongside your favorite heroes of the free peoples or as a dark shadow controlling armies of goblins and specters. Regardless of your choice, you have an exciting battle ahead of you for two to four players based on a simple principle: you place a card on the battlefield or path and usually pay for it by discarding any other card. Each turn opens up a pile of options before you, and while it’s not a game with overly complicated rules, it’s no joke but a strategic bomb. Fans of The Lord of the Rings will be in seventh heaven. You can play the game without knowledge of the book or the famous film trilogy, but it will bring the most joy to those who know Middle-earth better than their own neighborhood.
