Shrinkopolis

In this board game, players build their own neighbourhood inside a giant living room, win the hearts of their miniature fellow citizens and compete to become the first mayor of Shrinkopolis. Humanity has endured climate change, overpopulation and famine, so the world’s brightest scientists join forces to solve everything with a shrinking ray. Then a mysterious laboratory accident leaves everyone on Earth ridiculously tiny. Over five rounds, players create the happiest possible neighbourhood from cards. They choose neighbouring city and reward cards from the central display, add city cards to their neighbourhood so they form completed connections, and use resources to play reward cards that provide more resources, victory points or special abilities. Players can also send animal figures during other players’ turns to gain extra resources, while tools such as glue, a brush and scissors allow more flexible resource payments. Connections between cards provide resources, points or new possibilities. After five rounds, task and plan cards add further points, and the player with the highest score becomes mayor. The game also includes solo, cooperative and team variants, as well as a campaign module. The rules are in Czech and English.
