Become the leader of one of the four factions of the animal world: The Council relies on resilience and bread, The Order masters fire, The Sect controls cunning inventions, and The Clan cannot do without magic and intrigue. In the game Guardians of the Wild, players become leaders of the animal uprising just before a turning point in the war against the machines. At the site where one of the animal villages once stood, the construction of a new core and a vast complex of factories has begun. The machines are building walls that enclose one territory after another, while mechs protect the growing factories from which toxic pollution spreads. The leaders of the uprising must put aside long-standing disputes between factions and collaborate to help a network of fellow fighters take action in the right places and at the right times.
