Mycelium is a dynamic tactical game where you compete for space and resources while creating your own mushroom kingdom. The game follows the life cycle of mushrooms, the path of creation, expansion, death, and rebirth - in the game, you cultivate mushrooms to earn points, spore them to expand your mycelial network, and ultimately experience their decay, which unlocks special actions for you. In each turn, a player has two different actions available from six options. Utilizing decay actions, stealing spores, and blocking other mushrooms are just some of the ways to assert yourself in the game. Players can develop their own play style, such as playing more aggressively to steal spores from other players or disrupt their mycelial network - or playing more defensively to protect their own area and spores. The game board consists of triangular tiles representing various environments and nutrients that mushrooms need to grow. These tiles can be added to the game by players during play, so the game board constantly expands and evolves.
