Autumn Squirrel is a card placement game where you create pathways. In each round, you add 1 new card to your forest, which will have a size of 4×4 cards by the end of the game. On the cards, you will find either animals or pathways with food. For each animal, you must prepare a pathway where it can find its favorite food. In the game Autumn Squirrel, you have two types of square cards available: one depicting animals and the other showing pathways full of juicy food. Each player randomly receives an animal card that indicates how much food it can store and what its dietary preferences are. For example, a fox loves eggs but cannot eat berries or nuts. To achieve the best score, each animal must collect its favorite foods. During the setup, three pathway cards and one animal card are laid out for all players to choose from. Each player, on their turn, selects one of them and adds it to their forest, always respecting three rules: there can never be two animals on one pathway, the cards must be adjacent, and no card may be placed outside the 4×4 grid.
