The game can be played in three ways. The goal of the first variant is to get as few penalty points as possible while stacking ladders. The youngest player starts, chooses a color of ladders, and places one on the table. Play proceeds clockwise. The next player chooses a color and places their ladder on top of the previous player's so that it does not touch the table. The next player continues in the same way. If the stacked tower falls, the round ends. The player whose turn it was when the tower fell receives penalty points equal to the number of fallen ladders. The next round continues in the same way, starting with the player to the left of the one whose tower fell. The player with the fewest penalty points wins. In the second variant, the goal of the game is to get rid of ladders. Distribute the ladders evenly among all players.
