Description
Red dye for tie-dyeing and hand dyeing fabrics. It can be used on cotton, linen, silk, viscose, fabric blends containing no more than 20% synthetic fibres, and rice paper. The 25 g sachet is sufficient to intensely dye 150 g of fabric, while lighter shades can be achieved with up to 300 g of fabric. The dye can be hand-washed at up to 30°C, is unsuitable for hot washing, and offers very good lightfastness. It is also suitable for children. The original colours can be achieved only on white textiles; coloured fabrics produce a mixed shade. For dyeing, dissolve the contents in boiling water, add salt and, for silk, household vinegar, then place the moistened fabric in the dye bath and keep it moving for at least 20 minutes. For wax batik, reduce the temperature to 40–50°C. Rinse the dyed fabric in cold water after each dyeing cycle until the water runs clear; silk must cool slowly before rinsing.
