Štyridsaťštyri (1957): A dramatic story of the rebellion by Slovak soldiers of the 71st Trenčín Infantry Regiment against Austro-Hungarian officers during World War I, set in the Serbian town of Kragujevac.
Kapitán Dabač (1959): A psychological war drama about a Slovak army officer who, following personal tragedy, begins to see the true horrors of fascism during battles in Ukraine.
Jánošík I, II (1963): The epic tale of legendary folk hero and outlaw Juraj Jánošík (1688–1713), whose story has become an enduring symbol of resistance and justice.
